Nokia's latest smartphone, The Nokia N8, intuitively connects to the people, places and services that matter most. With the Nokia N8, people can create compelling content, connect to their favorite social networks and enjoy on-demand Web TV programs and Ovi Store apps.
Social networking is second nature to the Nokia N8. People can update their status, share location and photos, and view live feeds from Facebook and Twitter in a single app directly on the home screen. Calendar events from social networks can also be transferred to the device calendar.
The Nokia N8 introduces a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash and a large sensor that rivals those found in compact digital cameras. Additionally, the Nokia N8 offers the ability to make HD-quality videos and edit them with an intuitive built-in editing suite. Doubling as a portable entertainment center, people can enjoy HD-quality video with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound by plugging it into their home theatre system. The Nokia N8 enables access to Web TV services that deliver programs, news and entertainment from channels like CNN, E! Entertainment, Paramount and National Geographic. Additional local Web TV content is also available from the Ovi Store.
The Nokia N8 comes with free global Ovi Maps walk and drive navigation, guiding people to places and points of interest in more than 70 countries worldwide.

I bought N8 yesterday, it hanged up twice today. It hanged up just now, auto power off. I cannot turn on the N8, even charging it power supply or USB. Press the power for more than 8 seconds doesn’t help. Who has any solution

Approached Nokia Service Center (First time bought Nokia phone with opportunity to assess their service quality) :
o Refuse for 1-1 replacement for immediate use, after bought the phone for one day
o Internet line down, cannot generate system service register number and print slip
o Servive personnel asked me why I bought Nokia after knowing hang-up issue in this .mobilephones-reviews
o Manually write receipt for service, with double writing on serial number
o Provided mobile phone number of service personnel, but always cannot be reached.
If Nokia wish to win from mobile phone business competition, the service quality, on top of poor phone quality, is definitely going to push customers to other brand !

Damn n8 nokia fone! always restarts out of nowhere 4no damn reason. nokia must have released dis fone knowing abt dis bug. now it doesnt even switch on. total waste of money.

Mine 1 also the same, buys the phone earlier tought can used it earlier than others, who knows, 3 day after LCD flickering, Nokia Care Centre take 1 week for repairing, after 2 weeks, gt problem again, the phone straight away cannot be started, so useless, waste money & time just for repairing, nothing good. Nokia SHOULD change their policay and replace 1-1.

Really? ive had the 4ne for about a month now, and there is no problem at all. Especially considering the number of times ive dropped it.
I think its a great phone, sure it’s OS is not smooth as the iphone4, but it does offer a 12MP cam and other interesting features
